Bohemian Summer Nails

PRODUCTS SENT BY PR
Heys everyone! Continuing from the previous post and collaboration with Polishville, here is a nail art look made with the polishes that was sent to me. Pardon the theme, I did this back when the north hemisphere was still experiencing summer time. Haha! My apologies. I haven't been able to get this up until now. But hopefully these nails will still be a joy to look at. :) Besides, I think Summer themed are almost always appropriate for the weather in Malaysia. Hahaha! XD

LacqueerisaXPolishville: Bohemian Summer Nails

The theme of this nail art was derived mainly by the two China Glaze nail polishes' Collection. Swanky Silk was from the Bohemian Collection whereas Feel The Breeze from Off Shore, Summer collection. So joining these two, you get a Bohemian Summer inspired nail art! ^_^

LacqueerisaXPolishville: Bohemian Summer Nails
It's quite a laid back nail art and easy to achieve. Which I thought would make an ideal nail art attempt for a relaxing day or lazy days' afternoons. Hehe!

And.....yes! It's been awhile since I made any tutorials. So in collaboration with Polishville, here's a simple tutorial showing you how to achieve the same look for yourself or explore with other colours. ;D

LacqueerisaXPolishville: Bohemian Summer Nails Tutorial

Bohemian Summer Nails Tutorial, Step by Step Explanation (In Text).
side info: when I learn about alt text information for images, I have also learn that it was important so that informations get delivered to those of visual impaired. But since tutorials are lengthy, I have decided to also put down the text form here.

Step 1: Prep your nails with desired base colour (China Glaze Feel The Breeze).

Step 2: Using Glitter Liner (Enamel Art 1000), make rough lines across the nail plates; they don't have to be neat.
Step 3: Due to the thickness of this Glitter Liner polish, applying a smoothing topcoat is necessary to provide a smoother surface before proceeding to Step 4.
Step 4: Blob a little of your contrasting polish (China Glaze Swanky Silk) onto a scrap paper. Then, use your detailing brush to paint little strokes of lines in the spaces between the glitters and base polish. Lines can be aligned or irregular (up to you).
Step 5: Using the same method in Step 4, continue to paint little strokes on the rest of nail plate.
Step 6: Repeat Step 4 and Step 5 on the rest of your nails.
Step 7: Clean up and seal your design with your desired topcoat. Done! :)

So that is all for today's post. Have a wonderful Monday :)

This looks great! It's so pretty and girly, but still really interesting. The colors make me think of tropical drinks and summer sunsets. Great job! :)

  7. Thank you so much, Yun! So wonderful to know you find this interesting despite its simplicity ^_^ Haha!! Team CG must have totally nailed their colours for the respective collections. Otherwise these two wouldn't have been able to match together giving off both Bohemian and Summery feel ^^
